CM Gehlot Launches “Rajasthan Mission 2030” to Transform State By 2030

Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot launched an ambitious initiative called ‘Rajasthan Mission 2030’ to transform Rajasthan into India’s leading state within the next 7 years. 

The Rajasthan Mission 2030 was unveiled during a grand event in Jaipur where Gehlot invited ideas and suggestions from citizens on increasing the state’s per capita income tenfold. As part of the Rajasthan Mission 2030, the government aims to crowdsource development ideas from 1 crore people.

The chief minister connected with over 25,000 youth from across Rajasthan through video conferencing during the event. Nearly 1000 subject experts were also present physically at the launch of Rajasthan Mission 2030.

“Together we must make plans to increase Rajasthan’s per capita income ten times under Rajasthan Mission 2030. Every citizen must contribute ideas to make Rajasthan India’s top state,” said Gehlot.

To gather feedback for “Rajasthan Mission 2030”, the government will conduct face-to-face surveys with lakhs of citizens through Rajiv Gandhi Yuva Mitras and Mahatma Gandhi Seva Preraks.

Rajiv Gandhi Yuva Mitras and Mahatma Gandhi Seva Preraks will help conduct the on-ground surveys. The government has also formed dedicated teams for telephonic surveys through Interactive Voice Response (IVR) to reach out to the maximum number of citizens.

CM Gehlot launched a website mission2030.rajasthan.gov.in for the direct submission of ideas by people for the Rajasthan Mission 2030.

During his address, Gehlot highlighted the successes of his government in education, healthcare, and infrastructure over 4.5 years. He said Rajasthan’s welfare schemes are being adopted by other states. Despite COVID, Rajasthan achieved 2nd rank in economic growth. 

“It is my dream for Rajasthan to compete with developed nations by 2030 under Rajasthan Mission 2030,” stated the ambitious chief minister. 

Advisory Council for Rajasthan Mission 2023

Gehlot also constituted the Chief Minister Rajasthan Economic Reforms Advisory Council which will engage with experts and stakeholders to provide a detailed reform plan to the government by September 30, 2022.

The ambitious Rajasthan Mission 2030 aims to put Rajasthan among the leading states of the country in the next 7 years. With massive public participation and expert advice, the campaign could become a roadmap for the state’s rapid growth and development.

BJP Says CM’s  “Rajasthan Mission 2023”  is Blurred

However, BJP spokesperson Sudhanshu Trivedi termed the “Rajasthan Mission 2030” a blurred vision. He said the state government has failed to control crime and communal issues. The BJP remains confident of public mandate in upcoming elections.

CM Gehlot launches Rajasthan Mission 2030 aims to propel Rajasthan to be India’s leading state in 7 years. With massive participation from citizens and experts, it could become the roadmap for Rajasthan’s rapid growth. But the BJP has criticized the Congress government’s track record on law and order. It remains to be seen if CM Gehlot’s vision can overcome anti-incumbency sentiments.
